I have loved every Mystery Case Files ever made, and get very excited when a new one comes out. I purchased Madame Fate, and although I think it is designed well, and is fun to play, I was TOTALLY CREEPED OUT by the the dead, bloody clown in the cage, the comments from the Madame, and the overall vengeful serial killing spree theme. Halfway through the game I had to delete it from my computer because it was just too creepy. I didn’t want it in my house! And I’ve never deleted a game before that I had paid for.

I would like to share with the creator to PLEASE not make the next MCF so evil and creepy. I know some people probably like that, but in order for it to have more overall appeal, I don’t think it’s necessary to get so DARK. For example, Dire Grove was great! Thanks for the great games!

If you like this sort of thing, you’ll love Madame Fate. I found it to be just OK. IMO, the puzzles were either way too difficult or way too repetitive. A lot of the objects were impossible to find. The graphics and music were nicely creepy and it’s very atmospheric.

It is a long game, so you do get your money’s worth!

This is a well put together, atmospheric game. My major complaint is the objects can be very, very hard to find, you get a limited number of hints, and when a hint is given it’s in the form of a big circle. So, it can still be difficult to discover an item.

I like a lot of the mini-games because they involve word play instead of putting gears together or pipes, untangling lines, etc.

The MCF franchise always offers great graphics, storyline and gameplay. Madame Fate is no exception. Hidden object fun and challenging puzzles do not disappoint. While not as immersive as Return to Ravenhearst or Dire Grove, Madame Fate has it’s own charm as you investigate the carnival sideshow freaks to determine who will be Madame Fate’s nemesis at midnight. I loved the puzzles, intuitive yet very cunning and there is one puzzle after each of the fifteen levels and a doozy at the end. Hours of fun for everyone, get it!
