My house is full of Apple products. You could call me an Apple pro. Naturally, I’ve read many guides for the iPhone. While there are some decent ones out there, none organize knowledge so well and provide such valuable information. The survival guide was not a heaping encyclopedia of information in which it is impossible to find the answer to a specific question. I have read those kinds of manuals in the past and they are useless.
I really enjoyed the simplicity of this guide. The manual does not try to be funny or tell useless back stories. It is concise and to the point. It is that simplicity which really sets this manual apart from the others.

The iPhone is full of great features, but the manual that comes with it really doesn’t cover many of them. In addition, there are many hidden tricks Apple never advertised, like taking screenshots and editing text by shaking the phone. I’m also a big reader, so I was glad to learn there are so many free eBooks out there and how to download them.
I thought this manual was very easy to follow and described every task in great detail. I especially liked the large amount of screenshots that really complement the instructions. With the screenshots I can make sure I’m performing each action correctly.
The troubleshooting section was also very insightful, and helped me out when my iPhone was malfunctioning. The manual certainly saved me a visit to the Apple store. I can see why this manual is called the “survival guide”. I was able to survive many crashes and other mishaps.

this guide is very helpful. I knew a few tricks but this guide has helped me learn a LOT of new ones…highly recommended.

I purchased this guide after receiving a new iPhone for the holidays. What a time saver! I have already used it a number of times to figure out my email and get myself out of some stumping situations. I highly recommend this for any new iPhone user, like myself.
